What's the story?

Harry Whitelaw, Level 2 Maintenance Operations Apprentice from Hertfordshire who was on placement with Tenon FM (previously known as O&G) has completed his TrAC apprenticeship and starts a new position with Silvercore Electrical.

Harry started his TrAC Apprenticeship in February 2015 along with fellow apprentice Wajed Hussain.  The pair who have been attending Oaklands College following the intermediate Maintenance Operations apprenticeship have been working on planned and reactive maintenance at the University of Hertfordshire campus in Hitchin.  Harry’s apprentice manager, Rhiannon Homfray-Davies said “Harry has a hard working ethos and was determined to finish his qualification.  He became a very valuable member of the maintenance team on the busy campus".

During his time at the University of Hertfordshire, Harry had some experience of minor electrical works which he really enjoyed.  He decided that once he’d achieved his Level 2 qualification that he wanted to go on to do an Electrical apprenticeship and was offered an opportunity with Silvercore Electrical.  Harry started his new role on 10th July 2017 and said “Working with TrAC for the last 2 years has been very enjoyable and the support they have given me made my college course a lot easier to do. Completing the maintenance operations apprenticeship has opened my eyes to a wider view of the construction industry and what I would like to do in it.  Electrical work looks really interesting and seemed like a good trade to learn and will give me a good future in the industry.”
